Npower Independent Monitors Receives Engagement Letters And Tablets From FG

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has trained personnels under the National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP), who will monitor the following programs; N-Power, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), and the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

As it is believed that, adequate monitoring will yield to achieving stipulated objectives of the above named programmes.

A total of five thousand (5,000) Independent Monitors were selected, of which only four thousand four hundred and fifty-two (4,452) Monitors were successfully trained all over the Federation.

The minister, Hon. Sadiya Umar F. who flag off the distribution exercise in Abuja beseeched the Monitors to be upright, diligent, and accurate in discharging their duties.

About one hundred and twenty eight (128) Independent Monitors that received training in the FCT, were given their engagement letters and Tablets to ease their obligations.

From the minister’s statements, the independent Monitors are not allowed to seek a third party’s assistance, as they were the persons trained and should be the one to execute their duties. As punishment will be given to defaulted person(s).

The Independent Monitors will be paid a monthly stipend of thirty thousand naira (N30,000), as long as the meet up with at least 80% of the task assigned to them.

All thirty six States will in turn be visited, to enable the Monitors in those States receive their engagement letters and tablets as well.

Note: The Monitors who are to monitor (observe) a designated number of beneficiaries, will be in turn be monitored by the ministry via Social Investment Management Information System (SIMIS) which is an inbuilt application in the tablets given to them.
