The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has told Nigerian students to prepare for resumption next week.
ASUU said this via its official Twitter handle, as the education union expressed hope that their demand would be met after meeting with the federal government next week.
So, the education body expressed optimism that students would return to universities from next week after its meeting with the federal government.
ASUU tweet reads;
“All Federal University students should prepare for resumption as we expect a positive outcome from ASUU on Wednesday.”
This is after the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, on Friday, expressed hope that agreement with the Union will be concluded next week.
Ngige lamented that ASUU is not considering the challenges their demands would create, noting that he would use other options available to him should ASUU fail to agree with the government next week.
