According to Hon. Festus Keyamo who is the Minister of State, Labour & Employment, the president of Nigeria has ordered the released of funds to settle the payment of all participants who are actively involve in the Federal Government Public Works Programme.
The participants of the SPW program numbering seven hundred and seventy four thousand (774,000), will be paid their stipends as soon as the NDE starts processing the payments, following the instructions of president Muhammadu Buhari.
The president also went on to let the participants know that all means to curb frauds and multiple payments are being put in place, hence, payments will be done using BVN of account holders. This will help to give proper audit of payments, and other relevant account record that will be done later on.
Note: Participants who registered with names different from their bank BVN name shouldn’t expect payment, as they won’t receive any stipend.
