Unizik, Awka suspends Chinese course, lectures over Coronavirus scare

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, has suspended their Chinese course amidst fears of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Esomone made this announcement in Awka during the pre-convocation press conference on Monday.

According to the VC, the Chinese course will now be taken online.

He further disclosed that the institution had asked its Chinese lecturers, who travelled for Christmas vacation, not to return to the University while those who were around had been barred from travelling.

Their 14th Convocation ceremony has been scheduled to hold from Monday, 9th to 13th March, 2020.
