Why My Marriage To JJC Skillz Failed — Funke Akindele

Talented Nigerian filmmaker and the Lagos State People’s Democratic Party’s deputy governorship candidate Funke Akindele has finally spoken up about her failed marriage to rapper/director JJC Skillz.

The politician-turned-actor, who recently had the world premiere of her newest film Battle on Buka Street, spoke with Legit.ng and had the interview published on Wednesday.

In it interview, she explained why her second marriage fell apart. The 45-year-old asserted that they stopped having the same expectations for how the marriage should function, and attempts to make amends fell on deaf ears.

“Well, the truth is our dreams and vision of what our marriage should be just no longer aligned. And efforts to make it work all fell on deaf ears, so why hang around,” she said.
