The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has concluded plan to recruit 100 Corps Members as Soil Doctors/Extension Agents.
According to a circular obtained by Nyscinfo.com, the Director General of the National Youth Corps Service approved recruitment of corps members for training as soil doctors/extension agents after a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority.
Corps members will be selected across all the local government areas in Nigeria. Selected Corps members should have understanding of the basic language spoken in the environment for easy communication with farmers.
Requirement for Corps Members recruitment as Soil Doctors/Extension Agents
Only corps members with the following disciplines would be considered:
- Soil science and land management
- Agriculture
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Microbiology
- Laboratory science
- Biochemistry
