The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is asking eligible officers in the regular federal service who want to switch to the education officer cadre to apply to strengthen the teaching profession for better service delivery.
Requirement for Conversion in Federal Civil Service Commission
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree with a (2nd Class Lower Division) or HND (Minimum of Upper Credit) in any of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Physical and Health Education, Computer Science, Integrated Science, Technical Drawing, Building Tech—Block laying (bricklaying and concreting), Electrical, Electronics, Plumbing, Fabrication/welding xv, Painting and decoration, Carpentry and joinery, Furniture making, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Catering craft, Computer trades/studies, Textiles and Garment making, Auto mechanic, Vehicle bodybuilding, Printing, Foundry.
- Be computer literate and willing to take part in training that will enable them to register with the Nigerian Teacher Regulation Council (TRCN).
- Be willing to work as a teacher at Federal Unity College
- Have up to ten years left in the military.

Timeline for Conversion to Education Cadre
A hard copy of the completed template must be provided to the undersigned, together with an application through their Permanent Secretaries.
A soft copy of the same template must be uploaded to the website as well. The application will open on Monday, July 26th, 2021 and finish on Friday, August 20th, 2021. Permanent Secretaries should distribute this circular to all personnel, including those who work from home.
