The Leventis Foundation (Nigeria) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching children and farmers contemporary and sustainable agriculture methods and resource management.
Since 1987, the Foundation has provided agricultural training to youths and farmers, and it now operates five schools throughout Nigeria’s various agro-ecological zones. Leventis Foundation and the respective state governments co-fund schools in the FCT, Osun, Kaduna, Kano, and Gombe states. All of the schools provide instruction to young people (both men and women) who want to pursue a career in farming or agribusiness. The one-year program introduces learners to all aspects of agriculture and other farm businesses.
The training’s goal, which is completely free of charge, is to develop generations of devoted young practical farmers in Nigeria who will act as a catalyst for an agricultural revolution in their communities. Both male and female candidates are eligible for admission.

Successful candidates will get free tuition and boarding (including meals) during the course.
Leventis Training Program Qualification Requirements
- Be in good physical shape.
- Reading and writing skills in English (evidence of a minimum of secondary school may be required).
- Between the ages of 18 and 40.
- Before being chosen, you must pass both written and oral tests.
- Should show an apparent interest in agriculture.
- It’s a plus if you can show you’ve worked on a farm.
Required Documents for the Application
- A letter signed by the candidate’s local government’s chairman or secretary, or an attestation letter from a Justice of Peace (JP)
- Two (2) passport-size photos taken recently
- There are three (3) references.
- Photocopies of academic credentials or other pertinent documents
