The 490,000 Batch C Stream 2 Npower Program successful beneficiaries are presently being deployed.
The Batch C Stream 1 Npower Program expires in August 2022, according to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development’s SA on Media and Publicity, Nneka Ikem Anibueze, who made the announcement on Saturday.
“Batch C Npower beneficiaries were divided into two streams, C1 and C2. Batch C1 was deployed in September 2021 and is due to exit the programme this August 2022 after spending 12 months in the programme.
“The payment system is transparent and verifiable using the FECs approved NASIMS platform where each beneficiary sees on the platform, reasons for payment and non-payment owing to truancy or transaction failure.
“The batch C2 pre-selected applicants have concluded their physical verification exercise using one of our strategic partners (NYSC).
“The deployment process commenced on the 1st of August for 490,000 beneficiaries to fill the space of one million N-POWER beneficiaries as approved by Mr President,” stated Mrs Anibueze.
According to the ministry, the Deployment of the Batch C Stream 2 Npower recipients is carried out by the State Focal Persons in order to guarantee that they are deployed to PPAs nearby.
“Deployment is handled by the State Focal Persons to ensure that beneficiaries are deployed to PPAs closer to them.
“All the 36 States and FCT have all received the batch deployment schedule that commenced on 1st August 2022. This can be verified independently,” Mrs Anibueze noted.
Deploying the Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries is reportedly done manually and in batches, according to the Ministry.
Following successful deployment, each beneficiary in a given Batch will be notified and directed to the NASIMS Portal website, where they can view the deployment information and download the deployment letters.
All of the Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries in the 36 States plus the FCT will be deployed, thus the Ministry advises them to be patient.
In a new development, “claimed” Focal Persons’ Contacts have been made available online, with the claim being that the Beneficiaries should phone the Phone Numbers for their Deployment.
In truth, the contacts that are being sent about are false, so there is no need to start phoning a number you saw online when recipients may actually be reached when deployed.
The Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries are advised to exercise caution around scammers who may be redistributing such contact details in an effort to entice them into dangerous situations.
To find out if the beneficiary has been deployed, beneficiaries are recommended to periodically check the NASIMS Portal.
