A campaign to provide digital support and skills to women entrepreneurs in Ghana has been launched by the MTN Foundation and Africa Foresight Group (AFG).
The program with the hashtag #OhemaaGoDigital amplifies the argument that every woman entrepreneur should have access to technology to help her maintain her competitive edge.
For businesses, digitization is a first step toward raising income and brand recognition.
In order to improve these women’s businesses in the current economy, #OhemaaGoDigital will further conduct training sessions for them.
Eligibility Requirements
The public is urged to nominate devout women whose businesses can gain from going digital in order to highlight female entrepreneurs in our neighborhood communities.
Benefits Of The Digital Empowerment Program Of The MTN Foundation
In conjunction with AFG, MTN will give GHc8000 worth of airtime and data, 36 smartphones, and 1,200 shirts to seamstresses, hairdressers, traders, bakers, and other female entrepreneurs across the nation as part of the drive to assist more female-owned companies in going digital.
How To Apply
Here’s a simple way to participate in #OhemaaGoDigital to stand a chance of winning big:
Spot a local female business owner whether it is the hairdresser giving hair goals, the baker feeding you the best way she can, the seamstresses who have impeccable taste in fashion design or the caterer with the best recipes.
Upload a video of the woman entrepreneur, tagging @africaforesightgroup and using #OhemaaGoDigital on social media to describe their business and how digital tools will help them advance.
The videos will be reviewed by a committee before winners are chosen based on set criteria.
