2023 LEAP Africa Youth Leadership Programme for Nigerian Students

Young Nigerian undergraduates between the ages of 18 and 30 can participate in the 5-month LEAP Africa Youth Leadership Programme, which aims to give them the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to become transformative leaders and engaged citizens who will promote sustainable development in their communities.

When young Nigerians took control of the protest to push for the Nigeria they want, the Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) was formed out of their capacity to use their agency and power to bring about constructive change.

Scholarship Information

The Youth Leadership Development Programme aims to empower, equip, and support young change leaders who are Nigerian undergraduates under the age of 30, by giving them the skills, support, and environment they need to become self-leaders who bring lasting change to their communities.

The Youth Leadership Programme has never been more relevant to the issues that Africa is currently facing, particularly those that touch on leadership, active citizenship, and sustainable development as an election year draws near.

Requirements

To be considered for the programme, you must:

  1. A Male or Female Undergraduate in a Tertiary/Vocational Institution in Nigeria.
  2. Aged 18 – 30 years
  3. Passionate about advocacy, activism and community development
  4. Interested in inclusion, diversity and civic responsibility and eager to exercise these interests
  5. Eager to champion change projects geared towards community development & the SDGs
  6. Eager to engage with government institutions and influence policy
  7. Committed to attending the Online Training, Debates and is available for mentoring
