The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has alerted the public on a fake President Tinubu’s Grant that is currently trending online.
The management of NITDA said its attention has been drawn to a viral grant scheme tagged: President Tinubu N50,000 Cash grants, being circulated on social media platforms.
According to NITDA, the site responsible for this fake scheme is a phishing website designed to lure innocent people into revealing their personal data such as, full names, phone number, email address, home address, and bank account details.
NITDA urged the public to disregard the trending publication about Tinubu’s N50000 grant and to avoid filling out their information on unknown websites and other similar websites, in order not to fall prey to cyber criminals.
Additionally, the public should be aware that any grant scheme from the Federal Government will be communicated through the appropriate agency that is supervising such programmes.
