Ashoka Africa Changemaker Storytelling Challenge for Nigerians 2022

The Ashoka Africa Changemaker Storytelling Challenge 2022 is now accepting applications. As part of Ashoka’s efforts to create a Changemaker City ecosystem, they are offering you the chance to share your changemaker story.

The Ashoka Africa Changemaker Storytelling Challenge is searching for compelling stories from young people in Nigeria who are using social innovation to make a difference. Share your story about how you are working with a team to find answers to social issues in Nigeria, such as climate action, healthcare, unemployment, education, gender, diversity-equity-inclusion, minority rights, ICT, agriculture, and economic sustainability.

This challenge aims to raise and highlight the valuable contribution of young Nigerians who are using collaboration and changemaking to address some of the country’s most pressing concerns. As their communities evolve, this is an opportunity for young people to share their stories and have their views heard.

Eligibility

Participants should be aged 18 – 35;

Be from and resident in Nigeria;

The social innovation should have been or is being implemented in Nigeria within the last two years;

Participants must be working with a team.

Cash Prize:

  1. Winner – N200,000;
  2. Runner Up – N100,000
  3. 3rd place – N50,000
