ASUU commences indefinite strike, amidst coronavirus issues

On Monday, The Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) commenced an indefinite strike.

This action was made known by the union’s chairman, Biodun Ogunyemi at a press briefing in its National Secretariat situated in Abuja.

Recall that ASUU had on Monday, 9th March 2020, declared a two-week warning strike to compel the Federal Government to pay salaries of lecturers who are not enrolled in the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, (IPPIS) and the non-implementation of the 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2019 agreement.
