Farmers Affected By Flood In South-Eastern States Gets Agricultural Supply From Federal Government (FG).

There was distribution of Emergency Agricultural aid, which was authorized by President Buhari via the National Food Security Council to farmers in the South-East affected by the 2020 flooding.
The distribution of the agricultural inputs was flagged off by the Director of Disaster Risk Reduction, Mr. Vincent Owan.
He was actually representing the Director-General of NEMA, Mr. Mustapha Habib Ahmed.
Also in attendance was the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Professor Placid Njoku, who was representing Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State.
The deputy governor, who had earlier inspected the items in the warehouse before distribution, notably thanked the president of NEMA for the move to help the affected farmers.
The NEMA team had in attendance, Alhaji Sani Jubi, The Deputy Director of Finance And Account, Dr. Onimode Bandele, The Deputy Director Special Duties, among others.
Before the event, the team earlier proceeded to the office of the deputy governor to pay a courtesy visit before proceeding to the event venue to commence with the distribution.
Farmers affected by flood in other location will be attended to in due course, by the FG.
