FG Flags Off N20,000 Grants To 3351 Poor Persons In Cross River

The federal government, through the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hon. Sadiya Umar Farouq on Thursday flagged off the disbursement of N20,000 grants to over three thousand vulnerable persons in the Eighteen Local Government of Cross River State.

Farouq disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari was the one that sent her to Cross River State to give succour to the vulnerable persons in the State.

She said;

“We came to support the poor and vulnerable persons in Cross River and this exercise has been going on across the country.”

The Minister urged the beneficiaries of the Federal Government grant to make judicious use of the money.

On her remarks, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Betta Edu, commended President Buhari for his passion to help the less privilege across the country.

She noted that most of the Federal Government policies are targeted at the vulnerable groups across Nigeria.
