The Federal Government of Nigeria, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, has unveiled the Outsource To Nigeria Initiative (OTNI) Job Creation Initiative at the Gombe International Conference. OTNI is a Public-Private Partnership program aimed at generating employment opportunities in the Business Processes and Information Technology-Enabled Outsourcing sectors.
The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to realizing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, particularly in the area of job creation.
Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa CCIE, who accompanied the Vice President, highlighted how OTNI aligns with NITDA’s objective of enhancing the digital skills of Nigerian youths.
What is OTNI Job Creation Initiative?
This Initiative is a collaborative effort between the Nigerian government and private sector entities aimed at generating employment opportunities in the Business Processes and Information Technology-Enabled Outsourcing sectors. It is part of the government’s strategy to address unemployment challenges and promote economic growth by leveraging outsourcing activities to create job opportunities for Nigerian youths. Once fully implemented nationwide, OTNI is expected to provide a rapid solution to youth unemployment in Nigeria.
