Do you want to study for free in Finland through scholarship for international students? If so, this post is for you.
The Finland Scholarship assists international students from outside the EU/EEA in supporting their university study in Finland, ensuring they receive the greatest support possible to make the most of their studies, nurture their skills, and establish successful professions after graduation.
The scholarships are intended for talented non-EU/EEA students who are required to pay tuition and wish to pursue international master’s programs at the Finnish universities listed below.
As a minimum, the scholarship covers a first-year tuition price and a relocation allowance of 5000€. Many universities provide additional funding opportunities during the second year of master’s study; please visit the links to the participating institutions below for more information.
When you apply for admission, you might apply for a university scholarship. Please visit the university’s website for the application procedure, deadlines, and comprehensive prerequisites.

Five Steps to Studying in Finland
1. Select Your Program
To locate the best alternative for you, search the national application portal database at Studyinfo.fi. Check out the admissions pages for the individual universities as well!
2. Verify Admission Details
When you’ve selected a study program that appeals to you, familiarize yourself with the entrance requirements and application process in the program description at Studyinfo.fi.
If necessary, the Admissions Services of the university/UAS of interest can advise you on the eligibility requirements, application procedure and deadlines, as well as any papers you will need to submit as part of your application. You may be required to take an entrance exam or another type of aptitude test. You must also have a good command of the English language.
If you have any queries about your application, contact the Admissions Office at the university that offers the degree program.
The contact information may be found on the institutions’ admissions information pages as well as in the Studyinfo.fi directory of Admissions Services’ contact information.
3. Submit Applications For Programs And Scholarships
When the application time for the programs you are interested in opens, begin your application at Studyinfo.fi. Check with the university of your choosing for the application deadline and other details. Make sure you apply before the deadline.
Read introductory information on bachelor’s and master’s admissions.
In the Studyinfo.fi application system guidelines, you may get extensive guidance on the application process.
Universities provide scholarships to non-EU/EEA bachelor’s and master’s level students who must pay tuition costs. You normally apply for a university scholarship at the same time you apply for admission. For additional information about your scholarship choices, visit Studyinfo.fi and, if necessary, contact the institution.
You must also be able to meet your living expenditures. Before submitting your application, you should have a reasonable budget in place.
4. Wait For The Results And Reserve Your Study Spot
Waiting can be the most difficult part! The universities to whom you have applied will notify all applicants of their admissions decisions. If your application is accepted, you will receive an official letter of acceptance. This section will explain how to accept your study spot.
Even if you receive many offers, you can only take one study place every term. This decision is final, so if you are expecting results from other programs, wait for all of them before making your decision. But be careful not to miss the deadline for confirming your study spot.
Check with the Admissions Services of the Finnish university you’ve applied to for the outcome dates, confirmation deadlines, and all other study-related facts.
5. Get Ready For Arrival
If you are not from the EU/EEA, you must apply for a student residence permit. Migri.fi has student residence permit advice and requirements.
Begin your residency permit application as soon as you receive official admission confirmation!
When your first semester begins, check with your new Finnish home university. Apply for student housing as well. Your Finnish university will be able to advise you on various student housing alternatives.
When traveling to Finland, make sure you have all of the necessary papers. Check the Finnish Border Guard website for the most recent guidelines on the required entrance documents.
