The Youth Leadership Entrepreneurship and Development (YLEAD) Fellowship is a four-week immersive capacity-building programme aimed to educate, engage, and equip young people with skills that will help them move from school to work. The programme, now in its 11th year, will take place virtually from October 4th to 22nd, 2021, with participants from across the country. Participants will have access to digital skills as well as remote job placements this year when they apply for YLEAD Fellowship 2021.
Information About YLEAD
Within the previous 11 years, the iKapture Centre for Development’s flagship programme, the YLEAD Fellowship, has influenced the lives of young people all over the world. It offers creative solutions to the skills shortage among young people. It aims to improve learning and engage students in the most efficient manner possible while preparing them for careers and higher education.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s more necessary than ever for young people to develop valuable skills, discover themselves, and be prepared to take on demanding tasks in the secular world or in areas of their choosing. As a result, this year’s theme is ‘Emerge.’
Duration of YLEAD 2021
The YLEAD fellowship for 2021 will run from October 4th to October 22nd.
What Should You Expect?
The four-week curriculum includes modules and content on topics such as self-awareness, purpose discovery, emotional intelligence, goal setting, time management, etiquette, ethics, and values. Participants will have access to digital skills as well as remote job placements this year.

Eligibility for YLEAD 2021
The YLEAD programme is open to students, graduates, and out-of-school youngsters in Nigeria who are interested in becoming young leaders.
Participants who are interested;
- You must be between the ages of 15 and 24.
- You must have taken the JSSCE or SSCE.
- Must be enthusiastic in learning new skills and willing to participate in group activities.
- Attendance in the training programme must be at least 75%.
- Behave well and be eager to interact with people from all backgrounds, tribes, and religions.
- Volunteering and having a mentor should be of interest to you.
