Funke Akindele and husband arraigned in court, pleads guilty

Funke Akindele, who was arrested yesterday, has been arraigned alongside her husband, JJC Skillz before a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos on Monday.
They were arraigned in court for breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020 which prescribes a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both for persons found guilty of hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
After reading the charges brought before them by the Magistrate, Akindele and her husband both pleaded guilty.
Naira Marley still missing
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command says Naira Marley is still yet to honour their invitation, after he was invited after taking part in the party.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana who also said that JJC Skillz arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba around 2am this morning.
“We are, however, yet to see Naira Marley.
“Where there is a violation of a close down or stay at home order, security Agencies shall have the power to arrest without warrant and may detain any person who violates the close down or stay at home order for at least 48 hours.
“Where the arrested person is found guilty, the person is liable to a fine of N100,000.00 or one-month imprisonment or three months Community service.” He said.
