The World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID), is a day recognized globally as United Nations (UN) day, meant for raising awareness around the relevance of innovation, and creativity in solving problems in accordance with the UN SDGs which is also known as the “global goals”.
NITDA Nigeria has deemed it necessary to bring to interested Nigerians an innovation challenge with the theme “Inspiring Creativity, and Innovation in Nigerian Digital Economy” which is coming as part of the celebration of United Nations (UN) World Creativity Innovation Day 2021. This will help harness impactful, and innovative solutions when it comes to development of an economy that is widely digital.
As a result to this, the agency is calling on interested Nigerians to apply for the innovation challenge/competition.
Solutions provided will be accessed based on wealth/job creation potentials, scalability, inclusiveness, originality, and marketability.
Successful applicants/entries will be opportune to present their solutions to stakeholders of the Tech Industry.
Method of Application
The schedule of the event is as follows;
a. Entries will be submitted through https://bit.ly/NITDA21WCID
b. Commencement of the program will be from 12th of April, 2021, which is the day the portal will be opened, and closes on the 17th of April, 2021.
c. On the 19th of April, 2021 all entries will be accessed, and evaluated. Those who will scale through are to make a five (5) minutes live pitch, which must be submitted on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
