On Saturday, December 12th 2020, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) launched Eastern Security Network (ESN) because of the inability of the South East governors to protect lives and properties in the region. Here we shall look at how to join Eastern Security Network, recruitment process and requirement to become ESN member.
According to the IPOB media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, ESN is not Biafran Army nor for the purpose of forcefully declaration of Biafran State. Mr Powerful clarified that the security outfit is to provide security to the whole of South-East against killer herdsmen and other criminal gangs operating in the South East.
Requirements to Join Eastern Security Network
- Applicants must come from South-East or South-South Region
- Must posses Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), or National Diploma (ND), or Certificate of Education, or Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor Degree.
- Certificate of Identification
- Letter of Identification
- Guarantors form to be filled and submitted
- Birth Certificate or Baptism Card
- Other supporting documents
How to Apply for Eastern Security Network (ESN)
Application is very easy for applicants from South-East and South-South region.
Currently online portal for applications has not been opened, however interested applicants should visit their various zonal IPOB leaders to process their application.

Note: Anyone young person from Eastern region is eligible to apply. After application, shortlisted candidates are to be invited for an interview, and after which training follows.
