The Joint Admission and Matriculation board (JAMB) is a body in charge of examination and admission, for candidates seeking acceptance into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The examination is written on yearly basis, and it’s a criteria for all higher institution, as those without JAMB can’t be admitted.
In previous years, the examination is always held around November to January, but because of the pandemic that affected all sectors in the country including the educational sector, the 2021 JAMB registration won’t start from November.
Date for 2021 JAMB registration
The date for the 2021 JAMB registration is alleged to be within February 2021 to April
2021. All prospective candidate are expected to visit any accredited CBT centre for the registration. Any registration outside an approved CBT centre will be rendered invalid.
Cost of JAMB Form in 2021
The cost of the 2021 JAMB registration will be around three thousand, five hundred naira (N3,500), excluding the amount that will be charged by the CBT centre for the service rendered, and the literary piece (novel) that will be recommended.
One of the criteria that qualify a prospective candidate to sit for JAMB 2021, is the SSCE result. However, one can still get the JAMB form while awaiting the release of his/her SSCE result.

Procedures for 2021 JAMB registration
The following are to be done for a successful registration;
- Present an active email.
Present a working phone number.
Submit your NIN, only if it will be required for 2021 registration.
Create your profile, especially if you haven’t sat for Jamb before.
Go ahead with the purchase of E-pin.
Fill the given form and get your finger print biometric captured.
Print out the registration slip.
At the end of a successful registration for the 2021 JAMB Examination, the following items will be presented to the candidate;
- E-pin slip to serve as proof of payment.
- A CD plate that has Jamb brochure.
- A message file from the registrar of Jamb.
- The suggested literary piece (Novel) that will be used in the examination.
Note: The literary piece is expected to be studied properly as questions will be set from it, and it is meant to be paid for as well.
On a norm, the amount is suspected to be within five hundred naira, and will be given to the candidate after the registration process has been completed.
JAMB 2021 Examination Date
The date for the 2021 JAMB examination is expected to be around April 2021, and will last hopefully for a week.
Each candidate will be assigned a date within the stipulated one week, and there will be CCTV cameras installed to monitor any form of malpractice during the examination exercise.

New CBT centres might be approved for the 2021 Jamb Examination.
Just like previous years, the 2021 jamb examination will be a computer base exercise, and for this reason candidates that aren’t computer-literate should start practicing ahead for positive outcome.
After the Examination exercise, the result will be released within seven days, and the means of checking will be online, and through SMS.
Admission is done by Jamb and the preferred institution, and the admission letter from jamb will be made available after being admitted.
Note: Those that won’t be able to sit for the 2021 Jamb examination can still be admitted through other means (i.e Evening programs, Weekend programs, Basic Programs, Other part-time programs, etc.) but will be required to go for Jamb regularization towards the end of the program. This will enable Jamb be aware of the person(s) admission status, and necessary details.
