LSETF/UNDP Vocational Training Program For Young Nigerians 2022

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is presently accepting applications for the UNDP Vocational Training Program 2022, which is aimed at young Nigerian students, graduates, and out-of-school people. The Training Centers and Skill Acquisition Centers have been established to empower Lagos residents in many occupational domains.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial assistance to Lagos State residents in the areas of job creation, wealth generation, and career development.

Expectations

The Lagos State Government will contribute N25 billion over four years to the Fund, but it will also seek additional money from a variety of sources, including donor partners, development agencies, business organizations, and individuals.

LSETF will promote entrepreneurship through enhancing access to capital, strengthening MSMEs’ institutional ability, and developing policies to improve the business climate in Lagos State. The Fund will also develop programs to train and place jobless Lagos citizens in jobs, as well as programs to promote innovation in the Lagos ecosystem.

Criteria for Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the UNDP Vocational Training Program:

  1. Applicants must be resident in Lagos state, Nigeria.
  2. Applicants must be between 18 – 45 years of age
  3. Applicants must have National Identity Number (NIN)
  4. Applicants must have LASSRA number
  5. Passport photograph
  6. Guarantor’s details
