The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that the agency will commence hiring for the years 2024.
Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (ret.), the NDLEA chairman, revealed that they have received presidential authorization to recruit 5,000 individuals within the next three months.
Established by Decree No. 48 on December 29, 1989, the NDLEA is a federal law enforcement agency formed to counteract the rising demand for narcotic drugs and the associated trend of drug trafficking that negatively impacted Nigeria’s reputation abroad in the 1980s.
To safeguard communities from illegal substances and contribute to the safety and well-being of Nigerians, the NDLEA frequently hires individuals with diverse skill sets. In Kotton Rikus, Jos, Plateau State, they conduct recruitments for entry-level cadets into the NDLEA Academy.
The agency is actively seeking qualified individuals to fill administrative and support positions, including accountants, ICT professionals, secretaries and administrative assistants, human resource staff, communication specialists, legal services and finance officers, among others.
While the recruitment process has not yet commenced, prospective NDLEA candidates are encouraged to visit the careers page at https://ndlea.gov.ng/careers to stay informed about the recruitment schedule.
