Is your name among the shortlisted candidates preparing for the final screening exercise of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency? Did you in anyway receive a message requesting for a particular amount to be paid to facilitate the employment chances? If ‘yes’ then you need to read through this post.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has come out to advised applicants who are lucky to be shortlisted for the next stage of its recruitment exercise which is the ‘physical screening’ in Abuja, and Jos to be very careful.
This screening will make them narcotic officers and narcotic assistants, and will begin from next week. Due to desperation, most applicants and job seekers might fall victim for some scammers who are currently sending messages requesting for payment.
According to the Agency, they were informed that some persons (shortlisted candidates) receive messages to make payment into some phony bank accounts, which they claimed to be a compulsory payment, for securing employment slots in NDLEA.
The message reads:
“You are to come with medical
certificate of fitness, guarantor form,
credentials, registration slip and writing materials to nd/ea academy katon rikkos, lamingo road jos plateau state.
Name: Ali Imran Musa/Acct No
2797549625 Bank. Name U.B.A
Bank/Phone No 07084068948.”
The Agency is by this note reaching to candidates shortlisted, job seekers, and in extension to the general public, that the management of NDLEA will not in anyway request for payment from anyone, hence urged all to disregard the circulated fraudulent message.
Currently, a directive has been given to the directorate of intelligence by the Chairman of the Agency, Brig. General Mohamed Buba M. to trace and arrest the fraudsters who are using the name of NDLEA to scam innocent Nigerians through falsify messages.
