Supplementary Budget Of N982.7bn Signed by Presidency

A supplementary budget for the year 2021 which is meant to tackle issues like COVID-19 related needs, and Security Nationwide has been signed by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 26th of July 2021.

The supplementary budget which worth Nine hundred and Eighty-two billion, Seven million naira (N982,007,000,000) was signed at the president’s office with the following persons there present; Yemi Osinbajo who is the Vice President of the federation, Professor Gambari I., Boss Mustapha, Hon. Umar el Yakub, and Ben Akabueze.

The National Assembly who acted swiftly towards approving the supplementary budget was also commended by the President, as he gave his word of handling all capital projects covered by the budget appropriately.

Although there are other things that will be tackled from the budget, such as recurrent expenditures amounting to One hundred and twenty-three million, three hundred thousand naira (N123.3M), and the major projects among others.

Before signing the 2021 Supplementary Appropriate Act, the President had already signed the Amendment Act. of the 2021 Orthopedic Hospitals Management Board, which was first approved in 2004.

The Executive arm of Government is believed to have started putting things in place, so as to achieve all the objectives of the Supplementary Budget signed and approved.
