Training of 5000 NSIP Independent Monitors Begins In Abuja

The federal government has started a special training of Independent monitors, that will coordinate the activities of National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).

According to Nneka I. who is the special adviser (SA) on media/publicity to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, the training for this special role will kick-starts on the 18th of January 2021.

A total of five thousand (5,000) persons will undergo the training in all thirty six (36) states in the country, including the Federal capital territory (FCT). And the duration of the training will be two (2) weeks.

The ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, successfully set up a committee that will take charge of the training process. This committee is known as Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and have the mandate to groom the trainees to effectively monitor all processes that they ought to monitor (i.e cash transfer, Npower GEEP, NHGSFP, as well as any other program that needed monitoring).

From record so far, about thirteen million (13,000,000) candidates have benefited from the FG Social Investment Programs. and the figure might still go up as more is expected from the the government.
