The Federal Government, through the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development (FMYSD), Sunday Dare, has said that the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) program will not be scrapped but sustained.
Dare disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, stating that the NYSC scheme is one of the greatest tools for National development for youths in Nigeria.
The statement reads;
“The NYSC scheme remains one of the greatest tools for national development for our youth. The commitment of the government to sustaining the NYSC scheme remains.
Dynamic Reforms and Initiatives towards current realities are ongoing. Nigeria will stand with her youth”, he said.
The Honourable Minister made the statement after the bill against the NYSC scheme scaled through second reading in the House of Representative.
Nyscinfo.com had earlier reported that the House of Representatives moves to scrap NYSC scheme.

If FEDERAL GOVERNMENT,thinks that by scrapping NYSC scheme will end the insecurity that has started since 2002 instigated(triggered) by insurgents group, then they should be more ready to entertain more terror compared to what we have in placed now.
