NYSC Remobilization

NYSC Remobilization refers to the resumption of service for a Corps Member who was initially mobilized for national service but absconded during the service year, failing to complete it. This indicates that the Corps Member did not fulfill the required period of national service.

When such a Corps Member is ready to engage in national service again, they must report to their initial State of deployment, refund the allowance they had received from the Scheme, and obtain an official receipt. The process of remobilization then resumes from the initial State where the Corps Member had absconded.

NYSC Revalidation

On the other hand, Revalidation occurs when a Corps Member is mobilized in a specific Batch but fails to report to the Orientation camp at the designated time.

When the subsequent batch of Prospective Corps Members applies on the NYSC Registration portal, the Corps Member who didn’t report to camp will simply “re-validate” their earlier application on the registration portal instead of initiating a “fresh registration” like other Prospective Corps Members.

Difference between Remobilization and Revalidation

NYSC Remobilization is intended for individuals who have arrived at the NYSC camp, completed their registration, but subsequently absconded from service either during their time in camp or after spending days or months at their designated place of primary assignment.

On the other hand, NYSC Revalidation is designed for prospective corps members who were mobilized for service, completed their online registration, and were deployed to a specific state for their assignment.
