The Federal Government has announced the nomination of senior officers for the country’s four newly founded universities, in accordance with existing norms.
Mr Ben Goong, the Federal Ministry of Education’s Director of Press and Public Relations, made the announcement to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.
Prof. Sabo Ibrahim is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology in Babura, Jigawa State, according to the release. Mrs Fatima Mohammed is the Registrar, Mr Ibrahim Alhassan is the Bursar, and Dr Abashe Atiku is the Librarian.
Prof. Leo Daniel is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom, with Offiongita Nkang as the Registrar, Mbobo Frasmus-Mbobo as the Bursar, and Prof. Philip Akor as the Librarian.
Prof. Bala Audu is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences in Azare, Bauchi State, with Ali Adamu as the Registrar, Mohammed Lawan as the Bursar, and Dr. Bappah Magaj as the Librarian.
Prof. Akeem Lasisi is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences in lla Orangun, Osun State, with Kassim Babamale as the Registrar, Adelani Oyewale as the Bursar, and Bukky Asubiojo as the Librarian.
The appointments were made to help the newuniversities get up and running quickly.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the Ministry of Education announced the formation of four new institutions in 2021 to address shortages in technology, medicine, and nutrition.
