the Jim Ovia Scholars Program was established in 1998. The initiative is fully supported by Mr. Jim Ovia, and young Nigerian students are currently submitting their applications to receive financial aid.
The award was once called the MUSTE scholarship. Mr. Ovia has contributed more than 100 million Naira to the initiative from October 2010 to support 1500 people and counting.
By founding the Jim Ovia Scholarship, Mr. Ovia sought to build a network of future leaders in Nigeria who could compete internationally with their peers, contribute fresh perspectives and originality, and be dedicated to enhancing the conditions and quality of life in their local communities.
