Corps Members to Print NYSC Clearance Appointment Slip On October 18

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has scheduled all serving Corps members for monthly biometric clearance which will commence on 2nd November, 2020. However, Corps members will start printing the the scheduled NYSC clearance appointment slip from Monday, 18th October, 2020.

According to the NYSC management, the biometric clearance will commence on 2nd November, 2020 and will end on 16th November, 2020.

Below is the official Circular regarding the NYSC clearance appointment slip and clearance date;

CONDUCT OF MONTHLY BIOMETRIC CLEARANCE AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

In compliance with the Federal Government’s guidelines on NCDC safety protocols on COVID-19 pandemic, specifically adhering to restriction of mass gathering of people, the ICT Department has initiated procedures on the portal toward achieving this measure.

2. Accordingly, Corps members have been scheduled on the portal to present themselves for the November 2020 biometric clearance on days allotted to them, and this will always be communicated through their dashboards. They are expected to print an appointment slip effective from 18th October, 2020 which should be presented on biometric clearance day.

3. While the biometric clearance will last over a period of Fifteen (15) calendar days, State Coordinators are requested to direct all Local Government Inspectors (LGIs) to commence the November, 2020 biometric clearance from 2nd November, 2020 and to conclude the exercise on 16th November 2020, similarly, you are to direct Zonal Inspectors (ZIs) and LGIs to educate the corps members on this change procedures.

4. State Coordinators are also encouraged to perform a routine monitoring of this exercise with a view to providing the ICT Department with relevant feedback that will enhance the process in subsequent monthly biometric clearance.
