Caprice and Victor Agunbiade, the founders of the Alfred A. Agunbiade Memorial Foundation, noticed the youth problem in Nigeria and realised they had to do something to ensure that these kids’s potentials were channelled in the proper path. Victor Olusegun Agunbiade, the family’s only male child, was born into an Anglican family of seven in Ijebu-Ode, South-Western Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Alfred A. Agunbiade and his four sisters. His father instilled in him confidence, encouraged him to be the best at what he did, and taught him to respect the people he would meet throughout his life.

That counsel stayed with him, and he would use it as a standard to establish goals for himself in everything he did, and to keep it in the back of his mind not to do anything for the sake of making a symbolic gesture.

About Alfred Agunbiade Essay Competition
