The Babatunde Olusola Benson Education Foundation runs a scholarship program to help talented Nigerian students from the Ikorodu division achieve their post-secondary educational ambitions. Successful candidates get annual awards that are renewed depending on academic performance for a maximum of four years.
The B.O. Benson Education Foundation’s (BOBEF) scholarship program is an important part of the organization’s mission. Academic records, essays, extracurricular activities, work experience, financial necessity, unusual family or personal situations, and an outside reference are among the qualifications for the awards. FULL TIME 100 and 200 level undergraduates who are Ikorodu Division Indigenes who are enrolled in any first-degree program at an accredited Federal or State University in Nigeria are encouraged to apply.
About Babatunde Olusola Benson Education Foundation
The Babatunde Olusola Benson Education Foundation was established to provide improved access to higher education for citizens of the Ikorodu community. The creator, Chief Babatunde Olusola Benson (SAN), was a lawyer with over 50 years of expertise. He believed that the best form of aid a person can receive is an education. He served as vice chairman of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and as president and secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association.
