Canon Student Development Programme 2021 For University Students Worldwide

The 2021 Canon students development programme is currently open for applications. There will be an opportunity to have the portfolio of 250 students reviewed by photographers who are professionals. The Canon student development, first digital edition was seen in 2020. Over 230 students from more than 100 universities and schools, with over 40 nationalities were selected to attend the virtual event.

The programme in 2020 was packed with webinars, online talks and virtual portfolio reviews, with some of the names which is mostly influential in the world of photography. The international photojournalism event is back and kicks off in 2021 September.

Requirements for Canon Student Development Programme

Any university student enrolled in an educational institution for the academic year of 2020 to 2021 is open to the Canon student development programme.

Benefits of the Programme

a. Online Lectures

Online lectures will be hosted by Canon with editors, and leading photojournalists to share their vision over industry trends.

b. Photography Mentorship

Between July, and August 2021 each students will be in partnership with a mentor who is a professional, for the preparation sessions of two online portfolio.

c. Ambassadors of Canon

The work and gripping experiences of Canon ambassadors will be presented to offer advice and inspiration, during webinars.

d. Reviews of virtual portfolio

A feedback on your portfolios from photography professionals, and your friends who are online will be received by you during the event.

How to Apply for Canon Student Development Programme

A digital portfolio having a maximum of two stories, and also twenty (20) fully captioned images, with an accompanying description or synopsis will be submitted.

Details of institute, schools, or universities, along with a short photographer’s bio and also a letter of presentation by professor, editor, or their teacher if possible. It is needed to be included by the applicants.

Closing Date: The closing date of the applications is June 9th 2021.
