Corps Members Write to State Government Over Unpaid Allowances

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to Sokoto State have written the Sokoto State Government over unpaid allowance. Check out: NYSC State allowance for all States.

The Corps members in the letter to the Sokoto state government demand for the payment of their allowances which is not been paid several months.

The Group of Corps members comprising 2019 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1&2 stated that the last allowance they received from state government is that of June 2019: “Accordingly, you may wish to be informed that since the beginning or our service here in Sokoto state on the 5th November, 2019, batch C1 and C2 was only paid the monthly allowance for the month of June while the other months have been left unpaid”.

This means the state government is owing them for 9 months which amount N45,000 for each Corps members.

However, they thanked the state governor believing their plea would yield positive results.
