When it comes to high-end hypercars, a few names spring to mind: Bugatti, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, and Pagani, to mention a few. These businesses have established themselves as the supercar and hypercar industry’s top dogs, providing the world’s wealthiest clients with the world’s fastest, rarest, most beautiful, and, in this case, current most expensive cars in the world.
But, in order to figure out which of these out-of-reach automobiles is the most expensive, we combed through the invoice sheets and found almost 30 cars costing $1 million or more. Among the cars in the collection are a hybrid Ferrari convertible, an American speed king, and even a one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce intended for royalty.
However, it’s worth noting that the costs given below are for the automobiles when they were brand new. As a result, auction automobiles such as the Ferrari 250 GTO and high-end secondhand purchases are excluded. But don’t worry, there are still over $100 million in vehicles to whet your thirst. 1. Rolls-Royce Boat Tail
Price: $28.0 Million (EST.)
Rolls-Royce has returned to coach building with the beautiful new Boat Tail. The Boat Tail is a follow-up to the stunning Sweptail, which cost an estimated $12.8 million and had a distinctive two-tone exterior, special high-end finishes inside, and even a “hosting suite” with a champagne fridge and built-in sun umbrella. The Boat Tail is believed to have cost a staggering $28.0 million new, despite the fact that Rolls-Royce does not publicly reveal price for one-of-a-kind designs like this.
2. Bugatti La Voiture Noire
Price: $18.7 million dollars
The one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire is officially the most expensive new vehicle ever, with a price tag of $18.7 million and a selling price of $18.7 million after taxes. This is understandable. The La Voiture Noire, a contemporary spin on Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic, is driven by the same quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine that drives the Chiron, producing 1,479 horsepower and 1,600 Newton-meters (1,180 pound-feet) of torque. It comes with six – yes, six – exhaust points, innovative new wheels, an aggressive, one-of-a-kind grille, and a giant light-up logo spelling out the brand’s name out back. 3. Bugatti Centodieci
Price: $9.0 million dollars
Bugatti introduced the Centodieci at last year’s Pebble Beach auto show, showing yet another ultra-rare, ultra-expensive supercar to the globe. The car is a contemporary spin on the Bugatti EB110, with just 10 – dieci – vehicles available. At the same time, it’ll be a celebration of Bugatti’s 110th anniversary. Its unusual aesthetic elements may not appeal to everyone, but you won’t run upon another one on the road. With a price tag of just under $9 million, the Centodiece is one of the most valuable automobiles ever made.
4. Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero
Price: $8.0 Million
Like many others before it, the Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero is a one-of-a-kind car. Fulda, a German branch of Goodyear, built the Exlero in 2004 to test its new tyres. The Exelero is built on the same chassis as the Maybach and features the same twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 690 horsepower (510 kW) and 752 pound-feet (1,020 Newton-meters) of torque. The highest speed is 218 miles per hour (350 kilometres per hour), and the Exelero would cost more than $10 million now if inflation were taken into account. 5. Bugatti Divo
Price: $5.8 million dollars
Among Bugatti’s recently launched vehicles, the Divo is a staff favourite. Even though it shares a lot with its cheaper (!) sister, the Chiron, the Divo has a lot going for it to warrant the additional money. Bugatti used lighter wheels, a carbon fibre intercooler, and removed some sound deadening to make the Divo 77 pounds lighter than the Chiron. Despite having the same 1,500 horsepower (1,119 kilowatts) as the Chiron, the Divo features a different aerodynamic design that allows it to lap the Nardo test track 8 seconds faster.
