The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Honourable Minister of Education (HME), thus invites interested and qualified Nigerians to take part in the Nigerian Government Scholarship Award 2022 Nomination Computer Based Test (CBT).
The Federal Government Scholarship, dubbed the ‘Nigeria Award Scholarship (NA)’ 2021/2022, is available in Nigerian public tertiary institutions and begins in the fall semester.
Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be accepted for the Nigerian Government Scholarship Awards 2022:
- Applicants for postgraduate study must have a first degree with a Second Class Honours Division or higher. The applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a federal or state university.
- All other applicants (UG, HND, NCE) must be full-time students enrolled in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges of Education in their second year or higher. All undergraduate scholarship applicants (including physically challenged students) must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 on a five-point scale or equivalents, or 5.0 on a seven-point scale.
- On a scale of 4.0, all NCE and HND applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Science and technology, medicine and paramedicals, education, agriculture, liberal arts/social/management sciences, entrepreneurship studies, information technology, environmental sciences, and law are all eligible courses.
