As part of the Federal Government’s commitment to creating one million jobs in the digital economy, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with Coursera, is offering an opportunity to build the capacity that will equip individuals with skills for digital occupations.
Nigerian residents will have the chance to receive professional certifications from major international technology organizations (e.g., Meta, Google, IBM) and top-ranked US colleges through this scholarship.
Applicants must select one certification program from Category A and one from Category B for enrollment.
Category A: (IT Career Pathway) provides a total of 19 professional certification programs to help kickstart a successful IT career. Each program consists of related courses focused on providing in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment. Upon completing each individual course, you’ll earn a certificate of completion. The professional certification will be awarded upon completing all required courses in the program.
Category B: (Complementary Skills Pathway) offers 4 certification programs to complement IT career skills and enhance proficiency in digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, and freelancing.
Application starting date: The call for applications starts on 24th January 2024.
Training date: Cohort 3 training starts 10th February 2024 (a period of six months).
