If you are interest in joining the immigrations service as a graduate, you need to apply on the immigration’s official portal. And upon the shortlisting of your name for recruitment, you will be invited to take part in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) screening. To be recruited as a graduate, there are requirements which you must meet to have a successful application for the Nigerian Immigration job.
Requirements for joining the Nigerian Immigrations as a graduate
- Applicants must possess either of SSCE/NECO/GCE with a minimum of four (4) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Possess either of Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma Certificates from a recognized higher institution in Nigeria.
- Have NYSC discharged certificate
- Be a Nigerian citizen in line with the specifications of the Nigerian constitution.
- Possess the National Identity Number (NIN).
- Pass drug test and must depend on drugs.
- Present a certificate or proof of medical fitness that must be issued by a government hospital.
- Not be a member of any unlawful associations like secret society or occult.
- Must not be an ex-convict.
- Be between the age of 18-30, except you are a pharmacist or doctor of 35years of age.
- Must have a chest measurement of 0.87mm (men only).
- You must meet the height requirement of 1.65mm for men and 1.60mm for women.
- Must be computer literate.
- You must not be pregnant.
There are other job openings within the immigrations that do not require specific requirements for graduates. Such include Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII) which requires you to have HND or B.Sc. Note that applicants with disabilities are not advised to apply.
How to join Nigerian Immigrations Service (NIS) a graduate
Joining the Nigerian Immigration Service starts by submitting an application. Follow the steps below:
1) Visit the official portal on www.immigrationrecruitment.org.ng.
2) Click on the recruitment link.
3) Click on the “Apply” link on the portal.
4) Register with a valid email and create your password.
5) Upon successful registration, login to the portal and fill in the required details on the form.
6) Upload all necessary documents.
7) Click on the send button to submit your application.
