NAFCON To Start National Diploma Program

The Nigerian Airforce College of Nursing (NAFCON) which has being rendering a special Nursing training that runs for a duration of three (3) years, will switch to the regular National Diploma (ND) in Nursing training.

NAFCONThe Air commodore Director of the NAF, Edward Gabkwet made it known that the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) has approved the commencement from January 2021, as the program will now be known as the General Nursing. Currently, the effect has being made known to JAMB, and the next edition of its candidate’s brochure will have NAFCON (JAMB 2022 brochure).

Since it’s now being added to Jamb brochure, it then means all aspirants of NAFCON Kaduna will have to sit for JAMB as from 2021/2022 academic session. Otherwise, can’t secure admission into running the General Nursing program (ND).

The college of Nursing is among the three (3) colleges of the NAF School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine, which was commissioned in the year 2019 at the Kaduna Base of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

The school does have upgrading courses where Medical services personnel are being tutored to meet up global standard of Aviation Medicine, aside from its regular medical courses (training of medical technicians and nurses).

Note: The formal system of its nursing program will now be discontinued (three years nursing training program), as the new one (ND in General Nursing) will take effect immediately.
