Reason Why NYSC Selected Only 6000 PCMs For Batch B (1A)

Following the disclosure made by the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig Gen. Shauibu Ibrahim, that only 6,000 prospective corps members (PCMs) will enter orientation camp on 10th November 2020, many people have been wondering how possible that can be. So here we will show you the reason why NYSC selected only 6000 PCMs for Batch B Stream IA. Just before that, kindly follow this approved Iink to check if you are among the selected 6000.

  1. Recall that 2020 Batch ‘A’ Corps members did not complete their orientation course because of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

  2. Also, recall that the NYSC DG hinted that the total number of Corps members per camp will range from 600 to 700.

  3. Since 2020 Batch A Corps members are returning to camp for completion of their orientation course, there must be an arrangement to accommodate them.

  4. Corps members from 2020 Batch ‘A’ will be merged with the 6000 Prospective Corps Members from 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream IA.

  5. Recall that 2020 Batch A spent only 8 days on NYSC camp before their orientation course was truncated, so they will merge with Batch B Stream IA after 8 days.

  6. Since 6,000 Batch B Stream IA orientation course will start from 10th, 11th & 12th November, they should expect Batch ‘A’ 2020 to join them from 20th & 21st November.

Hope you are cleared?
