The general public is hereby informed that the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog (Govt. of India); Bill & Belinda Gates Foundation; Rabo Foundation; International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and Bayer, is introducing an innovation platform to allow trans-border give-and-take of innovations, insights and investments.
The first edition of the platform is the Agritech Challenge Program, with the aim of improving financial health of smallholder farmers to assist agritech and agri-fintech enterprises to widen international markets in selected African countries. The chosen participants will be given access to industry, investor and market linkages, along with mentorship from sector professionals to assist them build and test their solution in their selected international market, with future support on growing the solution.
Eligibility Requirements
Applications are welcomed from interested candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria:
• You must be a startup registered in any of the partaking nations, with a minimum of two years of operations.
• Your enterprise must have at least $150, 000 average yearly revenue in the past two years, or $100, 00 average yearly revenue in the past two years.
