Are you into storytelling and technology? Can you device a means of curbing sexual abuse using the both storytelling and technology? If ‘yes’ then the Vera Alex 2021 Initiative Grants for Changemakers is a must apply for you.

Vera Alex Initiative is a program that is being organised on yearly basis to help students (secondary school in particular) gain mentally, and emotional stability.

In other words, with the help of this initiative, children who are within the ages of six (6) to teenage and are suffering directly or indirectly fron toxic mentality/emotional setback are being handled properly.

The 2021 edition of the Vera Alex Initiative will focus solely on how to accommodate entrepreneurs, and employees who have the zeal of sacrificing their time and resources on African children, by impacting positively on them.

About The Program

Theme: The theme of the program will be “Using Both Storytelling & Technology To Subdue Child Sexual Abuse in Africa”

Benefits

  • Successful applicants will be made known via mainstream media.
  • Those to reach the final phase of the program will receive mentorship for a duration of three (3) months.
  • About three (3) persons who would willingly submit solutions during the program will grab $250 (~N100,000) grant each.
  • Will be included to the change-makers in Africa.

Eligibility

  • Applicants to be considered are those who are entrepreneurs, or working under someone (employee).
  • Must be active if taken (Show up in all activities).
  • Must be from Africa, and can base anywhere in the world.
  • Could be either male or female.
  • Be ready and able to take action on a given idea.

How to Apply for Vera Alex 2021 Initiative Grants for Changemakers

The follow steps must be followed for successful qualification;

Note: You must use your own Instagram, and tag @africa_arising and @theveraalex. Ensure that you hashtag the major competition #thechangemakerscompetition2021, and #veraalexinitiave (The said video should not exceed five minutes, while the text should not be more than five hundred words).

  • Request for vote from friends and relatives you know via the link that will be generated for you.
  • Once successfully passed, you will be automatically chosen as one of the finalist that will show up for a physical or virtual event. The three winners will be selected from the event.
