The Vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has whole heatedly appreciated the works of the Honourable minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Sadiya U. F. for the role played in the cash transfer project meant for Covid19.
She successfully upgraded the Rapid Response Register (RRR), making the system so easy for the disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.
The Vice president made this commendation during the launching of FG’s emergency intervention database. The RRR is totally technologically built, and has helped to improve digital means of transferring funds.
He went further to assure the masses that this social security scheme, will enable FG easily curb out millions of Nigerians from hardship (poverty).
The minister of Humanitarian Affairs also unveil the secret of the National Social Registry, as she explained how the system captures data’s from the poorest communities, L.G.A’s and so on.
This has made the ministry to identify all the poor household in the country, and placed them in the register to benefit first, whenever the poorest people are the target of a particular scheme.
She also gave the record of twenty four million, three hundred thousand (24,300,000) poor persons, were the number of poor citizens registered for the year 2020, of which each of this persons will be paid five thousand naira (N5,000) for a duration of six (6) months.
The Vice president also made it known that soon the FG will achieve it’s social security programme, that will elevate over twenty (20) million Nigerians out of hardship (poverty) in the next two (2) years time.
