About Tolu Odebiyi Foundation
The Tolu Odebiyi Foundation was established in 2019 as a non-profit organisation. The foundation was founded in Iboro, in the Yewa North Area of Ogun State, Western Nigeria. The Foundation was formed with the purpose of transforming the people of Ogun West’s thinking and reawakening the spirit of nationalism and hard work by teaching them the values of nationalism and hard work, a positive attitude that achievement is more meaningful and rewarding when achieved through hard effort.
Odebiyi’s mother was a member of the Independent National Electoral Commission, while his father was a former senator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction and engineering technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, as well as an associate’s degree in engineering technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus. Tolu Odebiyi received his primary education at Okemesi, Ekiti State, before pursuing his higher education at the Polytechnic in Ibadan. He emigrated from Nigeria to the United States of America to further his education. Later in life, he began his professional career in real estate and then moved into politics. The Tolu Odebiyi Scholarship rewards high-achieving undergraduate students of Ogun Senatorial District 100,000.00 Naira solely on an annual basis for the duration of their academic programme as a way of giving back to society.
