The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has developed what it called NYSC CV bank and job portal. This portal was launched in response to the needs of Nigerian graduates who are desirous of paid job, despite efforts to make them self-employed through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED).
This was disclosed by the NYSC State Coordinator in Gombe, Mrs. Ada Imoni, during the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 SAED closing ceremony, that was held at scheme’s temporary orientation camp in Amada, Gombe State.
She noted that the portal was a platform that enables corps members who are about exiting the scheme to upload soft and video copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) for easy access by employers in the country.
She said;
“The National has Service Corps has developed a job portal and CV bank for those who desire to have white collar jobs”.
The State Coordinator, however, urged corps members to continue with their chosen skills at their various places of primary assignment, noting that the hands-on training they got in camp was not enough but rather meant to arouse their interest to enlist for further intensive training in any skills of their choice outside the orientation camp.
