The Nigerian Navy, as part of its social duty, invites appropriately qualified Nigerians to apply for a Housemanship/ Internship programme in the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospitals in Ojo, Lagos, and Calabar in 2021/2022. Criteria for Eligibility for Nigerian Navy Internship Program
The following qualifications are required of candidates for the Housemanship / Internship programme:
- For medical doctors, an MBBS / MBBCH or its equivalent from an approved university is required. Provisional registration certificate from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Accredited Dental Surgeons must have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery or its equivalent. Provisional registration certificate from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council (NNRH Calabar only).
- Optometrists must have a Doctor of Optometry or its equivalent from an authorised institution. The Nigerian Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board’s provisional professional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Physiotherapists must have a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or a bachelor’s degree in medical rehabilitation or its equivalent from a recognised university. The Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria’s provisional professional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Radiographers must have a B.Sc. Radiography / BRad or its equivalent from a recognised institution. The Nigerian Radiographers Registration Board has issued a provisional professional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- For Dental Therapists, a B.Sc. / HND Dental Therapy or its equivalent from authorised universities is required. The Nigerian Dental Therapists Registration Board’s provisional professional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Dental Technologists must have a B.Sc. / A HND or equivalent from a recognised university is required. The Nigerian Dental Technologists Board’s provisional professional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- For Pharmacists, a doctorate or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or its equivalent from an approved university is required. Provisional registration certificate from the Nigerian Pharmacists Council (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Medical Laboratory Scientists must have a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or its equivalent from an authorised university. Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria issued a provisional licence (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
- Nurses must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or its equivalent from a recognized university Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council provisional registration certificate (NNRH Ojo and NNRH Calabar).
