Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi has a happy marriage to Adeshola Lamidi, a Financial Analyst and Risk Management Professional. She and her husband are happily married, and their union has produced godly children.
Olufemi-Okunnu, her father, was named Leader of the Federal Government Delegation to the Organisation of African Unity Consultative Committee on Nigeria Peace Talks to End the Civil War in 1968 and Leader of the Nigerian Delegation to the O.A.U. Ministerial Conference in 1969. He was a member of the Nigerian Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in 1980. In 1982, he was named pro-chancellor of the University of Agriculture in Makurdi.
Early Life and Education
Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi was born in Lagos State to Lateef Femi Okunnu (SAN), the President of the Isale-Eko Descendants Union and a sage. Arinola Omololu, Khadijah’s mother, is a businesswoman from Ago-Owu ancestry.
She received her elementary education at the University of Lagos Staff School and Childville School in Yaba, before moving on to Atlantic Hall School in Maryland for her secondary school.
She graduated from the University of Bolton RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Hons) (UAE).
Khadijah also holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM) from Dubai’s Heriot-Watt University.
The 38-year-old returned to Lagos to serve in the compulsory NYSC program at a Lagos State Government School.
Career
Khadijah received her first employment at the age of 16 after completing her NYSC program at a Lekki Motherless Babies Home, where she was introduced to community influence.
She used to work for the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA). Khadijah eventually went into business for herself, founding Slice Media Solutions, an advertising firm.
She is a member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and one of Nigeria’s Top 50 Women in Marketing and Communication.
Khadijah is well known for her charity work and advocacy for gender equality in youth development. Water Relief Nigeria, Help Our Youth (HOY), To Better Nigeria, and Project: Bridge the Gap are some of the social impact programs she co-founded.

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi publicly proclaimed her intention to run for President of Nigeria in the upcoming 2023 general elections in January 2022.
At a press conference in Lagos, she revealed her interest. She stated that she is interested in the post because she believes Nigeria has a brighter future. Okunnu goes on to say that she had the power to unite the youths together, which would lead to the country’s immense potential being unleashed.
She stated that her goal to restore hope and make Nigeria work for all Nigerians is the driving force behind her candidacy for the president.
